A 27-year-old hairdresser, Hilda Asomani has been arrested by the Police in Sunyani after she allegedly stabbed her husband, to death in the early hours of Tuesday, June 8.
The deceased, 30-year-old Prince Aboagye is alleged to have been stabbed around 1 am in the neck with scissors at Genny Guesthouse, a suburb of Abesim in the Sunyani municipality of the Bono Region.
In a brief narration, the Sunyani Divisional Police Commander, DSP Francis Numado said, the incident happened during a misunderstanding between the two.
Hilda suspected Prince, a mechanic at Oti Saw Mill at Abesim, of allegedly cheating on her. The Abesim Police got to the crime scene after a distress call, only to see Prince lying in a pool of blood.
They subsequently arrested Hilda Asomani to assist in investigations and she is currently in police custody.
The deceased and suspect are said to have a male child though Hilda has a female child with another man.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Sunyani Municipal Hospital for preservation and autopsy while the police continue the investigation.
