The 16 finalists of the Hitz Discovery reality show are set to meet at the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) offices for an orientation session Tuesday. The meeting will be the formal introduction of the 16 finalists to MUSIGA and also the director of grooming for the Hitz Discovery reality show, Willie Roy. Willie Roy, who is an expert in music, will as the show proceeds teach the contestants the various rudiments of music. The MUSIGA president Diana Hopson, Bessa Simons and other executives of MUSIGA are expected to attend the orientation session. MUSIGA on its part will give the finalists a beginner’s orientation on being a musician and an over view of the music industry. The 16 include Duodu Joseph, Ernest Ankomah, Faisal Mutaru, Fiho Moses, Willis Adoboa, Owusu Frank, Emmanuel Asante and Hagar Adjei. The rest, David Addy, David Segah, John Afful, Augustine Oben Afrifa, Sandra Whajah, Ewurama Agyeman and Woelin Segbefia were selected from a five-zonal audition and will go through weekly in-studio elimination competitions till the ultimate winner is crowned. The winner of the Hitz Discovery reality show will be crowned in January 2011 and will walk away with a juicy deal that includes album recording and promotion on Hitz FM.
