Ghana’s preferred music and entertainment radio station, Hitz FM is embarking on a project to unearth the next big thing in music in Ghana.
The reality show dubbed Hitz Icon will provide a platform for underground artistes to compete with each other to make it into the spotlight.
The event which starts this November on rotational bases will be opened to talents in the Greater region which has been divided into five zones.
Zone One is made up of Tema, Ashaiman, Sakumono, Teshie, Nungua, La and environs. Areas that make up Zone Two include; Dansoman Kasoa, Mallam, Lapaz and environs.
Zone Three is made up of Achimota, Dome, Taifa, Pokuase, Amasaman and environs. Legon, Madina, Adenta and Ashaley Botwe and environs make up Zone Four.
The Fifth Zone is made up of Accra Central, Asylum Down, Circle, Adabraka, Abelemkpe and environs.
3 finalists will be selected at each Zone totalling 15 finalists for the final stage show.
Interested persons can pick up forms from the front desk of Hitz FM and Adom FM and deadline for submission of forms is October 29.
The winner, first and second-runner ups will all walk away with a year’s recording and promotional contract which will also see them perform at all events organized by Hitz FM. They will also get a free video shot for them by Hitz TV.
