The Ho Municipal Assembly in the Volta Region with the support of some public and private institutions has launched the Ho Expo 2022.
The Expo is aimed at promoting tourism, real estate, infrastructure development and harnessing investment opportunities to propel the growth of the local economy of the municipal.
The Ho Expo 2022 is slated from 29th August to 11th September 2022 at the Ho Jubilee Park.
It would provide a platform to various business entities in the real estate industry and as well promote tourism in the Ho Municipality.
It is also expected to attract potential investors to the municipality, aiming to improve human resources and create jobs.
Speaking at the media launch, the Ho Municipal Chief Executive, Divine Bosson, shed light on what informed the organisation of the Ho Expo 2022 indicating the Assembly seeks to diversify the local economy.
He detailed that the assembly wants to move away from heavily relying on agriculture to harnessing potential of tourism and developing the real estate industry.
He expressed optimism the Expo would provide opportunities for artisans in the real estate industry to enhance their craft to improve on their ‘poor finishing and lay back attitudes’.
“The Municipality has many tourism potentials that need to be developed and packaged to attract tourists. Our unique location, very friendly weather, flora and fauna resources present us with great tourism potentials” he said.
The Member of Parliament for Ho Central, Benjamin Kpodo, underscored the significance of the expo and implored businesses and institutions to leverage digital computing technologies to improve their operations to grow their entities.
He believes this would position them t trade globally, attract investors and drive the growth of the local economy, thereby impacting livelihoods.
The Chief Executive Officer of Adonai Estate Limited, Bright Eric Adonai, detailed that his company would take advantage of the expo to establish investment partnerships.
He disclosed an association has been formd for real estate companies and industry players to ensure proper mobilization and coordination, in a bid to cash in on all the opportunities the Ho Expo 2022 would present.
Adonai Estate Limited is one of the emerging real estate companies in the municipality and a major sponsor of the maiden edition of the Expo.
The Executive Director of Volta Development Forum, Dan Kodjo Agboka-Dzegede, lauded the organizers on the initiative to harness both physical and human development in the region, which is blessed with numerous potentials.
The Volta Regional Chairman of the Ghana Journalist Association, Emmanuel Agbaxode, appreciated the efforts to harness development in the Ho Municipality and assured of the media's support towards a successful expo.
About 200 local, national and international exhibitors are expected to participate in the Ho Expo 2022, which would attract thousands of patrons.
The Expo would showcase medical and educational tourism, tourist sites, and real estate potential among others in the Ho Municipality.
