Hundreds of people on Sunday thronged the P.H Hotel at East Legon Accra in a special pool side party to officially launch Hitz FM’s new frequency.
Hitz FM, one of the country’s most listened to entertainment FM station and a business unit under the Multimedia Group Ltd has rolled out strategic programs as part of its frequency modulation change.
Listeners can now tune in to 103.9 mhz to enjoy numerous programs the station has introduced.
The change over which was necessitated by the directives of the National Communications Authority formed part of the stations listenership drive and to run an entertaining, informed and educative programs to meet the changing expectations of listeners.
The station will soon partner some selected shopping malls and fuel stations across the country to reward loyal listeners.
According to the Programs Manager, DJ Black, the station conducted research to find out the needs of listeners and to fashion out programs that will meet their expectations.
He said about 40-75 percent expectations of regular listeners have been met.
The station paraded some of the popular young artistes as side attraction to outdoor the new frequency and listeners were given the opportunity to interact live with the DJs and other staff of the station.
