Many people have different reasons to go to church; some go to pray, others go to enjoy praises and worship. However, for musician Michy, it’s an opportunity to do business.
She revealed in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, that she hardly goes to church to worship.
According to her, anytime she sees a congregation, she sees an opportunity to sell and expand her business.
“I go to church once in a while. I go there to do business. I sell jollof, so where there are people, I see consumers of my food. If I come to your church and I offer you lunch, know that the next thing is cooking a buffet for you.”
The ‘Low Tempo’ hit maker admitted that she is more of a spiritual person than religious.
“I am a spiritual person and not religious. I sometimes pay my tithe to church and sometimes to people who actually need it. I pray a lot; every gospel song makes me cry. I have the connection with my God and I feel like my prayers are answered so fast for me,” she said on Hitz 103.9 FM.
According to her, she pays her tithe either to beggars or the church. She also stressed that she prays and gets emotional whenever she hears any gospel song.
