Founder and Producer of the independent record label and production house, Jinn Records, Abraham Moughrabi, has put reason to why he signed on Ghanaian musician and griot, Atongo Zimba to his record label Jinn Records.
The Jinn records CEO told Joy Entertainment in an interview after the album launch concert of Atongo Zimba’s latest album A-Z that he signed the musician hit maker because of his authenticity and originality.
“He’s just an incredible talent, authenticity, talent, drive, originality, and power and those are the qualities that made me sign him on to Jinn Records”.
Atongo Zimba came to prominence in 2005 with his hit song "No Beer in Heaven"
Meanwhile, Abraham says he has also noticed the rise of some unique characters in the Ghana music industry whose sounds he really loves.
“I have love for many Ghanaian artistes, Ghana is making incredible music at the moment”.
According to him, one such musician who has caught his eye is Worlasi.
“I do follow the Afrobeat genre and there’s this one guy Worlasi, Worlasi has something special for me, he has originality and he has a different angle. He is slightly stepping aside from what everyone is doing and I like that and I will love to work with him," he said.
