The Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, Dr Stephen Amoah says he's working on fixing his constituency.
Responding to a question by Joy News' AM Show host Benjamin Akakpo on how he is doing so, the MP said his office is setting up by-laws to ensure the smooth running of his constituency.
"I have met the chiefs and assembly members in my area. We have banned constituents below 18 years from betting. I've finished all the letters and I've sent them to the companies to warn them," he disclosed.
The NPP MP also said as part of efforts to ensure the safety of his constituents, he's working on banning unregistered motorbikes from operating in the constituency.
Dr Amoah's comments come in the wake of the trending #FixTheCountry hashtag, a movement by a section of Ghanaians to demand accountability from their leaders.
He also added that he'd toured all schools within his jurisdiction and started providing learning materials and mechanised boreholes for schools without access to potable water to ensure strict adherence to the Covid-19 protocols.
