Ghanaian businessman, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar has taken to social media to express his disappointment after being allegedly barred from a scheduled interview with the state broadcaster, GTV.
In a tweet on Wednesday, January 17, Cheddar claimed that the cancellation, he was told, was due to ‘orders from above.’
The presidential aspirant shared on X (formerly Twitter), stating, "We are sorry to announce that my interview with @GTV_Ghana has been cancelled at the last minute by 'orders from above.'
"This has brought back memories of The Convention. #TheNewForce The Voice of the people."

Cheddar's reference to "The Convention" highlights his January 7 New Africa Foundation event which was cancelled by Jubilee House.
That day, supporters of the New Force had thronged the Black Star Square chanting patriotic songs as they demanded access to the venue for The Convention programme.

The Jubilee House said the decision was "necessitated by an unforeseen State Event scheduled to take place at the venue."
This move was received with backlash against the government.
The Convention was to bring together thought leaders in Africa including Professor PLO Lumumba, Peter Obi, Julius Malema, and others to speak on key challenges confronting Africa's development.
Experts such as Senior Vice President of IMANI-Africa, Kofi Bentil, have insisted that President Akufo-Addo should not have intervened in the private event.
According to Mr Bentil, as the event was a private one, there was no reason for the Jubilee House to interfere with such a program by cancelling it.
Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsfile on Saturday, he expressed the belief that the program posed no threat, adding that this uproar and attendant embarrassment could have been easily avoided.
"The president should not go anywhere near this program. This is someone arranging a meeting and then someone [from the Presidency] decides that they are going to cancel the meeting for very bad, wrong reasons," he said on January 13.
