A bus carrying young Ivorian nationals on an excursion to Ghana was involved in a tragic accident at Anomabo in the Central Region on Monday.
The incident occurred when the bus, upon reaching the Anomabo Hospital, veered off the road and somersaulted, leaving its passengers trapped inside.
While the exact cause of the crash remains unclear, eyewitnesses have pointed to overspeeding as a likely factor.
The accident reportedly resulted in the death of one person, with several others sustaining injuries.
It took the collective efforts of some of the victims and onlookers to overturn the bus and bring the trapped passengers to safety.
The injured were subsequently taken to the nearby hospital for treatment.
