The Executive Director of the Salt and Light Ministries, Rev. Joyce Aryee, has offered heartfelt prayers for the fallen heroes following the recent tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of several esteemed public officials.
Speaking on Newsfile on Saturday, Mrs Aryee offered words of comfort and hope, invoking divine strength for the bereaved families and the nation as a whole.
Describing the departed as “heroes who served with dedication and selflessness,” Joyce Aryee emphasised the need for unity and resilience in the face of profound loss.
“These individuals committed their lives to the service of Ghana,” she said. “We pray that their souls find peace, and that those left behind find the courage to carry on their noble legacy.”
This comes after the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight gallant men on Wednesday, August 9, in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region.
The crash claimed the lives of key public servants, including Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah and Environment Minister Dr. Alhaji Ibrahim Murtala Mohamme, NDC Vice-Chair Samuel Sarpong, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator Muniru Mohammed, and former MP Samuel Aboagye.
The Ghana Air Force personnel crew members who perished were Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Mane-Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
