JoyNews’ Justice Baidoo has been adjudged the Cocoa Reporting Journalist of the Year 2019 at the maiden Ghana Cocoa Awards.

Mr Baidoo emerged winner after a careful evaluation of over 161 entries received from individuals, companies and institutions operating within the country’s cocoa value chain, VC Media, organisers of the awards, said.
The Awards “Gala Night” which took place Thursday at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra was instituted by Kojo Hayford to celebrate outstanding achievement in the cocoa sector.
“We recognise by this initiative that it is the hard work and dedication of the Ghanaian cocoa farmer working in concert with industry that delivers the peerless world-acclaimed premium quality Ghana cocoa, hence this initiative to honour them,” Mr Hayford said in a release launching the award scheme.
Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cocoa Board, Joseph Aidoo, was crowned the winner of the Tetteh Quashie Award, the ultimate award of the night.
