Justin Bieber has tweeted a photo of himself appearing in a future episode of US crime TV series CSI.
The 16-year-old is pictured being led away in a red prison jumpsuit.
On his Twitter feed, the star says the episode is due to air on American channel CBS on 23 September.
He said: "What is that something new that you are doing today??? =I'm ACTING!!! CSI BABY!! Im a BAD MAN!! lol. Thanks to everyone at CSI for having me."
It's thought Bieber will play the character Jason McCann, a teenager with a tough decision to make regarding his only brother.
He's in the season premiere of the latest series of CSI and will also appear in future episodes as his story unfolds.

In a statement, the programme's executive producers Carol Mendelsohn, Don McGill and Anthony Zuiker called Justin Bieber a phenomenon.
They said: "We'd like to believe that the phenomenon of CSI has had the same impact on popular culture.
"The opportunity to bring them together in the premiere is a great treat for our audience and all of its new viewers. This will be true event television."
Earlier this month, Justin Bieber overtook Lady Gaga to have the most viewed music video on YouTube.
The star's song Baby has now been watched more than 262 million times, with Lady Gaga's Bad Romance still in second place with 252 million (28 July).
He was signed two years ago after posting his videos on YouTube and is currently on tour in the United States in support of his debut album My World 2.0.
