After a successful stop in the Eastern Region with the folks of Koforidua, the Kanekalon Regional City Tour, with the support of the National Youth Authority (NYA), made another stop in Kumasi.
The event, which took place in the Adum Presbyterian Church, recorded an appreciable attendance by community members.
The Regional City Tour initiative focuses on empowering people in communities with the essential skills, relevant knowledge and right tools to grow their businesses and brands.

Participants received talks on new business strategies to implement in the 21st century, branding and marketing pointers, business growth tips, trendy hairstyles, hair treatment tips among many others.
In attendance among many were also hairstylists and salon shop owners. Presentations were made on ways to identify authentic Kanekalon hair products on the market as a representative explained that there were quite a number of fake products circulating the market.

One way to ascertain the authenticity of the product was by its properties and this was done by highlighting the four main unique qualities of Kanekalon’s hair fiber and extensions with live demonstrations.
Some of the qualities such as its flame retardancy, which has been praised by many of its users, and looking out for the ‘100% Kanekalon label’ on all their hair products.

The Natural Scalp Refresher; a scalp treatment product of Kanekalon was also used to demonstrate some hair treatment tips.
The enthusiastic audience doubled as an engaging audience as they asked smart questions after the presentations.

In an interview after the program, some of the participants described the sessions as enlightening and eye-opening for them as they were exposed to so much new knowledge, which will be relevant in getting their businesses affected by the pandemic back on their feet.
Mrs Aboagye-Kumi commended the group for taking on this initiative and was already looking forward to the second edition as she spoke to us during her interview.
She encouraged more people to join in for the next edition as well. Madam Grace Yeboah, another participant, said she was poised to revamp her business with the new and right attitude and mindset approach to it this time.
Samuel Amoako, a team member of the Kanekalon RCT team, also spoke to us on the purpose and importance of this workshop and how it could go a long way in empowering many others in their businesses.
She expressed the brand’s interest in seeking possible relationships with committed attendants for an ambassadorial deal in the near future.

She mentioned that the brand had plans to create more opportunities for consumers and admonished listeners to explore more opportunities online, especially on social media.
She highlighted that it can be a great tool for learning and exposing your business to a whole new and untapped market.

She also encouraged them to download a newly developed application called Mirron, which is designed to create an ecosystem for stylists, clients, hair and beauty enthusiasts with a convenient booking service feature.
The program ended on an ecstatic note as the auditorium was charged with music and dance moves from participants in a dance-off competition. The team makes its next stop in Takoradi in June.
