One of the most prolific gospel artists in Ghana, Minister OJ born Michael Oware Sakyi has revealed that his song ‘Keep on keeping on’ was motivated by a hug from a lady at church.
In an interview on Daybreak Hitz with Host Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, the ‘Obi Nya W’aye’ crooner said the hug instantly gave him a different feel, and it dawned on him to write a song.
“Before we started our praise and worship with songs like ‘Hold somebody’ and ‘We are together again’ the lady gave me a hug...and I was like, oh it feels good and she said 'Oware keep on keeping on', so I was like, this was deep, and I will use it to write a song.”
“I said this hug will go a long way, and look what a hug has produced,” he said jokingly.
When quizzed on what he thought necessitated the words of the said lady, OJ said was certain that his enthusiasm and service to the church.
