The Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, has been honoured with the 2025 Outstanding Vice Chancellor of the Year Award for her transformative leadership at KNUST.
Prof. Dickson received the honour in the Excellent Leadership in Education category at the 10th Ghana-Nigeria Leadership Summit and Achievers Awards (GNAA 2025), held at the Barcelona Hotel in Abuja, Nigeria.

The Ghana-Nigeria Achievers Awards Foundation celebrated her passion for education and her role as an inspiring figure for women across the globe.
“We commend your consistent commitment to humanity, your love for education, and your passion for hard work and humility and contribution to impacting sound knowledge at KNUST. You have remained a passionate supporter of positive initiatives, dedicated, committed, determined and sincere in your quest for a better Education system,” the Foundation noted.
The Ghana-Nigeria Achievers Awards is an event aimed at rewarding companies and individuals who are making impact in society while creating a platform that consolidates on the Ghana-Nigeria diplomatic relationship.
