Lady Gaga leads the nominations for this year's MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) with seven nods, including in the best artist, best pop and best video categories.

BTS and Justin Bieber each received five nominations, including in such categories as best pop and "biggest fans."

ViacomCBS' MTV unveiled the nominations on Tuesday, including three new categories: best Latin, video for good, and best virtual live.

Performers and presenters of the 27th edition of the honors will be unveiled soon. The two-hour 2020 MTV EMAs will air globally on MTV in 180 countries and territories on Sunday, Nov. 8. Fans can begin to cast their votes today at mtvema.com.

MTV previously announced the return of the EMAs by saying: "It's no secret that 2020 has been an absolutely wild year so far. From virtual live stream performances to the birth of a plethora of amazing quarantine content, the world sure has rolled with the punches and embraced these unpredictable changes! Obviously, the MTV EMAs will be no different! ... Get ready for a night of jaw-dropping performances from the hottest artists while celebrating the power of music in 2020."
