Larry King may be signing off from his CNN talk show after a quarter century. But that doesn't mean he has any control over who'll be taking over for him. When asked by E! News whether he'll have any input into the hiring of his successor, Mr. Suspenders was pretty adamant that would not be the case. "No. Why should I?" said King, adding that once he leaves it won't be his show anymore. The 76-year-old radio and TV legend dropped the big bombshell yesterday on his Twitter page, saying that after 50,000 interviews, he wanted to spend more time with his family. "Announcing tonight: I'm ending my nightly show this fall but continuing at CNN," he tweeted. In a sit-down with CBS News this morning, Larry, however, said that if it were up to him, he'd have E! News anchor Ryan Seacrest take the helm. Aside from the American Idol host, CNN honcho Jonathan Klein is eyeing several other candidates for the job, chief among them America's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan and Katie Couric (once her CBS News contract runs out).
