Presec Legon lives to see another day in the National Science and Maths Quiz world.
The five times champion fought a difficult battle with the Ghana National College and Koforidua Sec. Tech.
Answering correctly the first two riddles in round five, however, pushed them from 45 to 51.
This ensured the Ghana National College competitors stay behind with 42 points. Koforidua Sec. Tech also finished with 42 points.
Presec - Legon will meet Kumasi Academy and Aburi Presby in the semi-final match.
