Ultimate Fashions, official merchandise suppliers for the 26th MTN Africa Cup of Nations, Ghana 2008 will launch the Official wear for the tournament on Friday, November 30 at the Local Organizing Committee’s (LOC) Secretariat.
The Kumasi-based garments departmental store, which has subsidiaries in Accra, Takoradi and Tamale is expected to put on display for the launch, forty different styles and colour combination of fashionable sporting wear.
A release signed by Magnus Rex Danquah, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of LOC copied to the GNA Sports said the launch will involve a large range of polo shirts, T-shirts and baseball caps among others which will be introduced to both Ghanaian and international markets as official garments for next year’s event.
Mr Danquah added that the side attraction for the event will be a special fashion show to model several styles to be put on display as well as the auctioning of 10 shirts autographed by selected Black Star players including captain Stephen Appiah, John Mensah, Michael Essien, Laryea Kingston and Junior Agogo.
Others, he said would be autographed by renowned ex-footballers such as Yaw Preko, Tony Baffoe and Opoku Afriyie.
Mr Danquah said that the launch of the official wear will give interested distributors the opportunity to position themselves to adequately promote the Ghana 2008 tournament.
