Marie-Josee Ta Lou continues to show no sign of slowing down as she pulled off a big win over 100m at the London Diamond League on Sunday (23 July).
Home favourite Dina Asher-Smith made a blistering start with Ta Lou in the unusual position of trailing through the first 20 metres.
As the year's fastest woman Shericka Jackson struggled to pick up after crawling out of the blocks, the 34-year-old Ivorian powered through the second half of the race to win in 10.75.
Asher-Smith took second in a season's best 10.85 with Jackson in third place.
Sha’Carri Richardson, who beat Jackson in Poland last weekend, was a late withdrawal after the American received treatment on a "sore hamstring" in the warm-up.
Ta Lou said afterwards, "Today has been so great. I was not feeling my best at first, but I've been listening to everything my coach has told me and I won.
"I know my finish is strong but my start could be better and I need to improve it to make sure I can achieve my goal of winning gold."
