Mahogany Consult, a public relations, events, and change management consultancy, presented awards to the three best graduating students from the School of Communication Studies at Wisconsin International University College (WIUC), Ghana, at its 19th Graduation Ceremony.
The awardees were Omoferi Okeoghene and Faith Yaa Fiawoyife for best in the Bachelor of Arts degree, and Magdalene Maame Esi Ashun as the best graduating diploma student.
Millicent Otoo-Provencal, Communications Manager at Mahogany Consult, who presented the awards, said, “I was impressed to see all three awardees were ladies. As a public relations professional in a women-led agency, I am hopeful that the future of a thriving Communications Industry in Ghana and Africa will be driven by such brilliant women”.
She also expressed her best wishes for their continued success.
Omoferi was elated by the honour of the award. She stated, “I felt incredibly honoured and grateful. It was a proud moment for me because it reflected the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices I made throughout my academic journey”.

Faith described the recognition as both unexpected and rewarding.
“Honestly, I was surprised and overwhelmed by the recognition. I was just working towards being a first-class student or second-class upper student and nothing else. I'm happy to see it paying off”, she said.
For Magdalene, her parents’ support and desire to make them proud were the main motivation for her achievement.
She also encouraged other students to be consistent in their academic pursuits in order to achieve success.
“If you keep showing up and applying yourself consistently, you’re bound to achieve success one day.”
In recognising these students, Mrs Otoo – Provencal stated that Mahogany Consult is not only celebrating academic performance but encouraging ambition, and reminding emerging professionals that their efforts matter.
“As communication continues to shape business, governance and social change globally, investing in the next generation of practitioners becomes increasingly important, and that is what Mahogany Consult is poised to do”, she said.
