A man believed to be in his late 30s is in critical condition at the Kasoa Polyclinic after he was allegedly beaten by a mob for stealing refrigerator parts at Kasoa Walantu Junction in the Awutu Senya East Municipality.
According to reports, the suspect was caught removing the motor of a refrigerator that had been brought to a repair shop.

He was allegedly assaulted by some residents after being apprehended in the act.
Speaking to Adom News, the shop owner, Sylvester Awugya, said his shop has recently recorded several theft incidents, which heightened tensions when the suspect was caught red-handed.
Police officers from the Kasoa Divisional Police Command later intervened, rescued the suspect from the mob, and rushed him to the Kasoa Polyclinic, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.
