According Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones is back on track after undergoing treatment for bipolar disorder in April. "She's great!" Douglas, 66, tells Us Weekly of his wife. "She's down in Miami doing Rock of Ages, the musical. So she's doing great. She's doing a great job."
Zeta-Jones has been quite open about her diagnosis -- although, as Douglas told Oprah Winfrey, her condition was "outed" by the media. But once it was out there, Zeta-Jones decided to go public on her own terms about her mental illness, telling others, "There is no need to suffer silently."
The 41-year-old actress stood by her husband during his fight with throat cancer (he's now cancer-free), and the ongoing stress of that situation eventually contributed to Zeta-Jones' decision to seek help. As Douglas joked to Winfrey, "My son is in federal prison, my ex-wife is suing me... It's kind of hard for the wife to say that she's depressed."
Once filming of Rock of Ages wraps, Douglas says he and Zeta-Jones are going to celebrate with some well-deserved R&R. "(We're) going to do the same thing we always do," he says. "We go to Spain!"
