One of the highlights of Super Bowl, aside from the game, is the musical performances that come with the event. The Weeknd will be the halftime show act later tonight. But prior to kickoff, Miley Cyrus headlined the TikTok Tailgate pregame event in Tampa, Florida this afternoon with hits like “Prisoner,” and even brought out icons like Billy Idol and Joan Jett to join her.
Given Cyrus is a true fashion girl, she had to bring her stellar style to the stage today—would you expect anything less? Before the show began, she posted a fit on Instagram that saw her put her unique stamp on Super Bowl style. She sported a green jersey-inspired top, by Gucci. She paired the luxurious top with denim cut-offs, and strappy leather boots to make it sporty, but also chic.
When she hit the stage, Cyrus rocked a pink and black leather cheerleader look, by Michael Schmidt, consisting of a bra top, pleated mini skirt, and even knee pads (her top also read “FTW,” meaning, “for the win”). The two thematic ensembles indeed cleverly nodded to the sports event at hand, but managed to still be a stellar fashion moment totally in line with Cyrus’s rock ‘n’ roll vibe. In these getups? She should for sure get MVP!
