Mourners from across the Northern Region continue to troupe to the late Mion Lana's Palace to mourn with the people following the passing on of the Mion Lana, Naa Abdulai III.
The 'Third-day' funeral ceremony, also known as Bogli Logbo is set to be performed on Thursday at his palace.
The late chief was laid to rest last night in an Inner chamber in the palace.
He passed away on Tuesday evening at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra after which the body was airlifted to Mion.
A book of condolence has been opened for the late chief.
Secretary to the Palace, Abubakari Issahaku, said a selected group of elders received the body with assistance from the security and brought it to the palace.

Mr Issahaku further stated that the body was sent into an inner chamber at the palace where some traditional rites were performed to ascertain the veracity of his death.
Mr Issahaku added that the elders then went to inform the Bini Dana who has the sole right to officially announce the death of the Mion Lana to the Overlord of Dagbon.
The Palace Secretary further stated that an emissary was sent to the Overlord of Dagbon, Ya Na Abukari II, to officially inform him of the death adding that the overlord then sent a delegation to the palace to confirm the death.
He said this paved way for the burial rites to be performed and the body laid to rest.
Mr Issahak said more rites will be performed tomorrow as customs demand.
The late chief died at age 48 leaving behind 12 children and 4 wives.
