A woman believed to be in her late 20s has been found dead with parts of her body dismembered at Tetegu Junction on the Accra–Kasoa Highway in the Weija-Gbawe Municipality.
The body was discovered on Wednesday morning. The deceased was naked, with her left leg and vagina reportedly removed, while multiple bruises were visible on her body.
Shocked residents told Adom News they suspect the woman may have been killed at a different location and her body later dumped at the junction, possibly to make the incident appear like a road accident.
The gruesome discovery has sparked fear and panic in the area, with some residents of the Weija-Gbawe Municipality expressing concern over missing relatives as police investigations intensify.
The SCC Police have since deposited the body at the morgue for preservation and further examination, as investigations continue.
