Nabrok Foundation donates to widows in Asuogyaman

Nabrok Foundation, a subsidiary of the Nabrok Group has donated a piece of cloth each and assorted items to 200 widows drawn from the Asuogyaman constituency.

The gesture dubbed “The Easter Arms of Support” is the foundation’s maiden support initiative targeting widows and also saw the donation of sewing machines to five trainees.

The well-attended event was held at the Tosen community centre and had dignitaries such as Nana Son Asare Kwodwo-Tosen Hene, Nana Gyau-Nanyor Hene, Nana Ansah Pram-Akosombo Hene, Kwame Agyekum, DCE for the area, Divine Osborn Fenu-DCE North Tongu, Daniel Ad Appeah- Board Chairman of Anum Rural Bank.

In his address, the Executive Director of Nabrok Foundation, Nana Abrokwa Asare reiterated the commitment of the foundation to do more for the people of Asuogyaman.

“In 2019, Nabrok Foundation was birthed to provide sustainable support and succour to Women, youth, and other vulnerable sections of society.

"As a son of this constituency, I concluded together with my team that we make the Asuogyaman constituency the Epicentre of all our key programmes and initiatives.

"This was a deliberate attempt to invest in our people and provide basic but relevant support that is capable of restoring hope and setting up people for success.”

Since its inception, Nabrok Foundation has donated sewing machines, hairdryers and absorbed the training fees of more than 50 trainee hairdressers, seamstresses and beauticians in the constituency.

Similarly, the foundation provided enormous support to fight the Covid-19 pandemic in 2019 when it donated toiletries and assorted items to help mitigate the effect of the pandemic at the time.

On his part, the Chairman of the occasion, Nana Son Asare Kwodwo-Tosen Hene, expressed appreciation on behalf of the recipients, stating that such support will go a long way to bring hope and succour to the vulnerable in the society.

“I want to especially thank Nabrok Foundation and specifically laud its Executive Director, Nana Abrokwa Asare for contributing significantly to the welfare of the Asuogyaman Constituency.

"I have personally taken note of the impactful initiatives being taken by the foundation and will thus encourage you to do more towards the development of this area.” He ended.

Nabrok Foundation has conceived practical support initiatives designed to rapidly improve the socio-economic fortunes of the Asugyaman Constituency.

The Foundation also actively seeks to extend support to other parts of the country as it did recently with the donation of a projector and construction of a flood buffer for the Ebubonko M/A Basic School in Cape Coast.
