President Akufo-Addo has conferred a national award on the National Ambulance Service at the National Honours and Awards 2023, for their massive dedication during the fight against Covid-19.
The event took place at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
Reacting to the award, the Chief Executive Officer for the Service, Prof. Ahmed Nuhu Zakariah, dedicated the award to all officers and staff of the Service.

“This award is humbly dedicated to all the gallant officers and hardworking staff of NAS. Your commitment and dedication to work has contributed to bringing the Service this far," he said.

Their mission is to serve the needs of patients and the public as part of an integrated health system through the provision of high quality, safe and patient centred services.
The National Honours and Awards is a national awards ceremony that honours Ghanaian people who have rendered distinguished services to Ghana in various fields and careers.
