The Ghana Armed Forces, Police Service, National Fire Service, Immigration, Customs Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS), Navy, Prisons and Ambulance Services have embarked on a route match in Ho and Da Agotime-Ziope districts of the Volta Region.
This is part of efforts by the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) to ensure peaceful elections come December.
The match which started at the Jubilee Park in Ho on Thursday morning saw hundreds of the security officers and staff of the NCCE, with peace message on placards and T-shirts campaigning for peace before, during and after the elections.
Ken Kpornor, the Volta regional director of the Commission said it is important to sensitise the public before the nation goes to the polls on December 7.
He said the march is aimed at ensuring peace and order before, during and after the general election.
Mr Kpornor urged the public to cooperate with the security services and the NCCE in order to have a smooth and peaceful election.
He said it is the responsibility of every citizen to ensure that the peace the country is enjoying maintained.
Public Relations Officer of the police in the Volta region, lance corporal Prince Dogbatse noted that all the security services would make sure that peace is maintained and the citizens are protected.
