Veteran Ghanaian actor Kofi Adjorlolo has hinted that his outgoing and lovable nature has endeared him to many ladies in the Nollywood. He said this on eTV’s Late Night Celebrity show Wednesday when a viewer’s text asked: “Mr Adjorlolo, I hear you have eyes for a particular Nigerian actress, is this true? From his demeanor, Kofi was actually taken aback and his response was “wonderful, incredible, absolutely surprising…” He, however, explained that “I have worked with a whole lot of Nigerian girls and …because of my own nature they like me – am so lovable, am so outgoing, am simple, modest and free with everybody and people reciprocate in the same way … but someone may think otherwise.” Recounting his past, Mr Adjorlolo talked of his school days – he started schooling in Keta but had to follow his mother who was transferred to Kumasi to work there as a midwife. He attended Modern City Academy before he later went back to Keta Senior Secondary School and finally moved to the Ebenezer Secondary School to continue his education. After school, Kofi Adjorlolo worked with the Post & Telecommunications Company in Accra North where he sold stamps. He was also on radio some years back, working with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, Peace FM and others. His love for music sent him to Nigeria where he lived for 6-years playing with some big bands. Kofi Adjorlolo also plays the guitar and trumpet. He believes that with his background as an actor and a script writer he can be a good producer in future. In any case, he would “like to watch film[s] that I can learn from, I won’t go for any film that I don’t think that I can learn from.” Story by Dorcas Efe Mensah/myjoyonline.com/Ghana
