An NPP group in the Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency, 'Volunteers for 2024' has joined the advocacy to allow the Majority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency to contest unopposed in the upcoming NPP parliamentary primaries.
At a press conference held in Nsawam, the group, also known as V-24, said allowing Frank Annoh Dompreh to contest unopposed will prevent a 'skirt and blouse' voting pattern.

They alleged that some candidates and their supporters within the constituency are preaching 'skirt and blouse' which affected the fortunes of the party in the last general election.
They are therefore confident that, Mr. Annoh Dompreh can win the parliamentary election for the NPP.

Speaking to the media, spokesperson of the V-24 group, Patricia Sarpong indicated that Mr. Annoh Dompreh is the best candidate to represent the NPP due to his relationship with the constituents and his developmental drive.

Earlier, some chiefs in the Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency called on the leadership of the New Patriotic Party to protect the Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency, Frank Annoh Dompreh in the upcoming Parliamentary primaries.

The chiefs and sub chiefs numbering about 15 came from Adoagyiri, Dobro, Daamang, Ahwerease, Yaw Gyan, Chinto, Duayeden, Ahodwo, Ntoaso, Okobeyeyie, Sakyikrom, Oparekrom among others.
They want the National Executive of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to exempt Mr. Annoh Dompreh from the parliamentary primaries.

They highlighted some successes chalked by the MP under education, health, rural electrification, sanitation, sports, rural telephony and employment and described them as unprecedented.
"Nsawam Adoagyiri is already on the path of progress under his leadership. We need him to focus his mind on what he is already doing without having to leave government business and others to run around in the name of campaigning for primaries," the chiefs stressed.
