Bice Osei Kuffuor also known as Obuor, Ghana’s rap ambassador after leading various campaigns on road safety and an advocacy for the youth to get involved in politics is now on a music resurrection campaign. Obuor who was on Metro TV’s Allo Tigo show on Saturday revealed that he is organising a musical concert at the National Theatre on September 4 dubbed ‘The Resurrection Concert’. He said the Ghanaian music industry is sleeping and everyone should come on board to awaken it. The concert he says is aimed at also uniting all musicians in the country and it will comprise all the major forms of music enjoyed in the country. It is a ‘mix’ concert which will involve all major music circles in Ghana; Gospel, reggae, hi-life and hip-life. Apart from Obuor, artistes billed to grace the concert are; Asem, Black Rasta, No Tribe, Becca, Wutah and A.B. Crentsil plus a host of others. Obuor has not been without controversy for some of the songs he has produced so far namely ‘Konkotiba’, ‘The Game’ and now ‘Atopa’. He said people should stop applying profanity to his ‘Atopa’ song and that, ‘Atopa’ is a common thing in the Ghanaian society which simply means people should dance with their waist. The song urges people to simply dance away their problems and worries, he says. Story by Aglanu Dela Ernest/Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
