OLA College of Education has held its fifth congregation during which 378 professional teachers graduated to join the educational sector.
The Principal of the college, Rev Sister Elizabeth Amoako Arhen, said the first batch of early childhood specially trained educators were part of the graduands.
She stated that they were the ones going to be in charge of the very foundation of the educational system and assured the public that they had adequately been prepared to be up to the task and would not let the nation down.
The Commissioner of the Public Services Commission, Mrs Janet Ampadu Fofie, who was the guest speaker, said pupils and students would be looking up to the new teachers to guide and nurture them to study and to develop their talents, adding that they would be counting on them for guidance in the choice of study materials as well as their quest to develop as responsible leaders in future.
Mrs Ampadu Fofie called on the teachers to cultivate and maintain positive work and life attitude, stressing the need to respect and work with head teachers and senior colleagues in the effective delivery of their profession.
