Frustration over this year’s Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) is deepening in the Ashanti Region, with parents alleging that money is being demanded to bypass long queues at the resolution centre in Kumasi.

Some parents claim unidentified individuals are charging as much as GH¢300 to help candidates skip the queue, allegations that have heightened tensions at the centre.

They say the practice has created confusion and frustration, with some parents reportedly abandoning the process after hours of waiting.

According to the parents, some individuals in uniform are also being allowed to bypass the queues, creating opportunities for others to allegedly solicit money from desperate parents.

The situation has been compounded by a sharp increase in the number of parents and candidates at the centre on the third day of the placement resolution exercise, compared with the previous day.

Despite the growing numbers, the resolution process remains slow, leaving many parents frustrated and the centre appearing overwhelmed by the demand for assistance.
