Former Ghana assistant coach, George Boateng, believes Thomas Partey has become an important figure in Arsenal’s squad.
The midfielder has featured in 17 of Arsenal’s 18 league games so far this season as they look to mount another title charge.
During that run, Partey had netted two goals and registered two assists in 14 starts despite being given different roles.
In an interview with Tribal Football, Boateng, who worked with Partey in the national team, praised the energetic midfielder.
“Partey is a lovely boy who has a very good humanitarian way of living his life and he does a lot for the community in Ghana. You can talk to him, he has a very good understanding of what the society is about and he gives so much respect to the coaches and his teammates,” he said.
“As a player Thomas has done unbelievably well, he is such a valuable asset to the club and when Arsenal is playing without him you can see that the team is different.
Partey’s current contract at Arsenal expires in the summer but there have been talks of a possible extension before the end of the season.
