The disinfection exercise that started with markets in Accra and Kumasi to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, took place in the northern parts of the country, on April 1, 2020.
Apart from the Central market of Bolganta in the Upper East Regional Capital, the Savannah Region and the Upper West Region also witnessed similar exercises.
As part of measures adopted by the government to combat the coronavirus pandemic in the country, parts of the country including various markets are being disinfected.
The Greater Accra region was the first to be disinfected with over 137 markets in 28 districts.
Markets in the Ashanti Region followed with over 216 of them sprayed.
