Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and chronic respiratory illnesses are increasingly becoming a major health concern worldwide.
Unlike infectious diseases, NCDs are not transmitted from person to person but develop due to a combination of genetic, physiological, environmental, and behavioral factors.
Often referred to as "silent killers," these diseases can progress unnoticed until they result in severe health complications or death.
To address this growing threat, JoyNews hosted the "Silent Killer National Dialogue," which assembled experts, policymakers, and the public to discuss strategies for prevention, management, and policy implementation to combat NCDs in Ghana.
Playback the conversation which delved into this critical health issue and explore solutions to safeguard our nation's health.
