It has been eight months since President Akufo-Addo was sworn into office.
As a result, the National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has criticised President Akufo-Addo for the delay in appointing Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs).
Tonight, PM Express on JoyNews looked into the appointment of MMDCEs under the Akufo-Addo-led administration.
Host, Aisha Ibrahim together with Deputy Minister of Local Government, Osei Bonsu Amoah, Ranking Member on Parliament's Local Government Committee, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye and Local Government expert, Dr Eric Oduro Osae analysed the delay in structuring the local governance system.
