The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested three robbers and shot one other to death at Oseikrom after an intelligence-led operation on December 2.
In a press release on Saturday, the Police announced that the gang of robbers attacked some miners near Oseikrom in the early hours of Thursday.
After receiving a distress call on the incident, the Police approached the gang and engaged in exchange of gunfire with the robbers, leading to the death of one of them.
The deceased's body has been deposited at the Obuasi Government Hospital morgue pending identification and autopsy.
"At about noon the same day, two persons, Richard Nkrumah alias Papa Yaw and Alex Appiah alias Ameley who were part of the robbery gang, were arrested through an intelligence-led operation.
