School authorities at the Archbishop Porter Girls Senior High School in Takoradi have asked all students to report back to school this Friday for continuation of academic work.
This follows the closure of the school after reported food poisoning last Friday.
Speaking to the Daily Graphic, the Headmistress of the school, Ms Louisa Constance Aggrey, said it was expected that by now the students had regained their strength to report for academic work.
She said the school authorities had put many measures in place to ensure that the students were safe.
She said the situation which led to the closure of the school could be attributed to the wrong information that was put out by the media, saying that would not be repeated.
"Academic work has to continue. It is important that parents allow their children back to campus by 4 p.m. February 19, 2010 to ensure that more time is not sacrificed. We have to get back to the classroom," Ms Aggrey said.
