Polytechnic teachers have to call off their strike or face a court action. That is the verdict of the National Labour Commission on the three day old strike which has disrupted academic work on polytechnic campuses. The Commission invited both the Education Ministry and leaders of the polytechnic teachers to a meeting today, but the polytechnic teachers failed to turn. The General Secretary of the POTAG had hinted early on in an interview with Joy News that they will not appear before the Commission because they have not officially been subpoenaed. National security has also met leaders of the striking teachers and their rectors. Chairman of the polytechnic rectors Reverend Professor Daniel Nyarko says the strike may be called off soon
