President John Mahama has called on the clergy to continually intercede for Ghana, stressing the need for divine guidance and national unity.
He underscored the critical role of faith in fostering resilience among citizens and ensuring that leaders are blessed with wisdom to navigate the country’s challenges.
Addressing the clergy in Kumasi on Sunday, 2nd March 2025, President Mahama acknowledged the Ashanti Region’s status as Ghana’s Christian spiritual hub.
He noted the significant presence of churches and religious leaders in the region, describing it as a beacon of faith and moral leadership.
Furthermore, President Mahama advocated for increased collaboration among different Christian denominations.
By working together, he said, churches could amplify their impact and extend their outreach to even the most remote areas of the country.
“I humbly ask that you keep Ghana in your prayers. That our leaders may be endowed with wisdom. And that our people will be endowed with resilience, unity, and hope,” President Mahama stated.
