President John Mahama has sent his condolences to the family of elder statesman and former Vice Chairman of the Council of Elders of the ruling National Democratic Congress, Harry R. Sawyerr.
Harry Sawyer, a renowned quantity surveyor, politician and Ga Statesman passed on in the morning of Friday November 08, 2013 at the age of 87.
President Mahama noted that Grandpa Harry Sawyerr has paid his dues to Ghana, recalling his exemplary contributions as Minister for Transportation & Communication, Minister for Education and member of the Council of State.
"Uncle Harry lived a fulfilled life as a public servant, and senior elder of our party, the great NDC", President Mahama stated.
