Primetime Limited set to launch STEM Festival

Primetime Limited, a communications agency and producers of the National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ), is set to roll out a new event known as the STEM Festival, which would be launched on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at the GNAT Hall in Accra.

The STEM Festival, which will come off from July 15 to August 5, 2021, is a celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) aimed at promoting the study of STEM in our schools, educating Ghanaians on the various careers in STEM, as well as giving the Ghanaian youth the opportunity to explore and showcase their innovative ideas.

The STEM Festival constitutes the Mentorship Sessions and the Sci-Tech Fair, which were previously satellite events on the NSMQ.

The Mentorship Sessions and the Sci-Tech Fair were detached from the NSMQ in 2021 and morphed into the STEM Festival to give these events the attention that they deserve, greater exposure, as well as room to grow to their fullest potential.

The Festival will begin with the Mentorship Sessions over a three-week period from July 15 to August 5, 2021, where individuals from varied STEM industries will share their life experiences and careers with the virtual audience.

All the sessions would be streamed live on the NSMQ and STEM Festival Facebook pages. It would also be aired live on the Joy Learning channel. The theme for the Mentorship Sessions is Prospects and Expectations in the STEM Field.

The Festival will be climaxed by the Sci-Tech Fair, which would come off on July 29 & 30, 2021 at the Academic City University College in Accra. The Fair would be in two segments; an Exhibition and the Sci-Tech Innovation Challenge which would be among the following ten senior high schools:
