Hip-Hop star/actress Queen Latifah will team with Mary J. Blige's FFAWN organization to co-host the Second Annual Mary J. Blige Honors Concert.
Mary J. and Queen Latifah will be joined by Elle magazine's Editor-in-Chief Robbie Meyers as hosts of concert, which will be held in honor of the 2011 FFAWN scholarship recipients.
Legendary musician Patrice Rushen will conduct performances by a star-studded cast that includes Christina Aguilera, Anita Baker, Jennifer Hudson, Jill Scott and Corinne Bailey Rae.
In 2010, Mary J.'s non-profit, which stands for the Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now, has helped send 25 young women to college with full, four-year scholarships.
To date, all 25 young women remain enrolled and have maintained the minimum requirement of a 3.0 GPA.
Eight of the young women made the dean's list in their first semester according to reps for FFAWN, which found founded by Mary J. Blige and industry exec/mogul Steve Stoute.
Proceeds from the concert, which is sponsored by Gucci and the Urban Zen Foundation, will benefit FFAWN's scholarship fund that helps young women succeed through training and education.
The Second Annual Mary J. Blige Honors concert takes place on May 1st at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
