Former Black Stars defender Rahim Ayew is set to join newly promoted Inter Allies for the coming season.
Ayew, who was previously with Belgian top flight side Lierse, is a now a free agent and according to our sources, is returning to Ghana to re-launch his career.
Footy-ghana.com can confirm that Ayew has been training with Inter Allies for a while.
Ayew, the elder brother of Olympique Marseille duo Andre and Jordan Ayew, came to the fore whilst playing for Eleven Wise five years ago and it earned him a place in Ghana’s 2010 African Nations Cup and World Cup squads.
In a related development, footy-ghana.com sources also reveal that former Asante Kotoko captain Adamu Mohammed is also set to join the Tema-based side for the coming season.
The defensive midfielder has played for Heart of Lions and Eleven Wise in the past and has just returned from a stint in Ethiopia
