The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, has dedicated a legacy temple at Ada Foah, sponsored by Cedar Mountain Chapel at East Legon in Accra, to mark the church’s 15th anniversary.
The Cedar Redemption Temple at Ada Foah is named after the late Rev. David Nabegmado, former Senior Pastor of Tema Central Assemblies of God, who was tragically murdered on a Sunday morning in December 2018. Rev. Nabegmado had devoted significant resources to training pastors and supporting missionary work in the Ada District of the Greater Accra Region.

Rev. Wengam explained that while reflecting on how best to commemorate God’s goodness to Cedar Mountain Chapel—where he serves as Lead Pastor—the Lord led the church to plant a new congregation at Ada Foah in 2024. The project, he said, “is in fulfilment of the Great Commission to go to all nations to preach the gospel.”

He further noted that although Cedar Mountain Chapel needed, and still needs, funds to complete construction work on its main auditorium, the legacy temple at Ada Foah was given utmost priority.

Rev. Wengam prayed that the new temple would become a house of refuge, breakthroughs, and blessings for the people of Ada Foah. He also commended Nene Sappor for donating the land for the temple, expressing hope that under his reign, the entire Ada Foah community would be enveloped in the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

The Greater Accra East Regional Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Nelson Andrews Awintia, expressed gratitude to Rev. Wengam and members of Cedar Mountain Chapel for their magnanimous decision to build a house of God instead of hosting a party to mark their 15th anniversary.
