The New Patriotic Party (NPP)'s Parliamentary Candidate for Ningo-Prampram, Michael Tetteh-Eku, has criticised two-term MP Samuel Nartey George for failing to bring development to the constituency.
According to Mr Tetteh-Eku, Sam George does not own a house or live in the constituency, hence his inability to relate to the challenges faced by constituents.
Speaking at a Peace Project event organized by Assemblies of God Church, Mission Sanctuary at PS Global, the NPP politician expressed confidence that he would defeat Sam George with over 40,000 votes.
He also cited the NPP's strong performance in the constituency as an indication of better development should the NDC MP be voted out.
"In this constituency, the party that can boost providing jobs for the good people of Ningo-Prampram is NPP. NDC does not have a single project in Ningo-Prampram that they can boost. So NDC and their leaders including Sam George have nothing to show.
"He (Sam George) is an indigene but the truth of the matter is, he was not born and bred here. That is a fact. As of now, he doesn't own a house in this constituency. As we speak, his wife and his children don't live here so he doesn't feel for the people. It takes a person who lives with the constituents to take their matter seriously and this guy has failed because he doesn't own a house here and his relatives don't live here. If Ningo-Prampram burns today, my house will be affected," he stressed.
