Samuel Bampoe, or Sammy B, is an old radio stock, being one of the most familiar voices on radio, is back on radio to do what he does best.
Due to his flair and widely acknowledged talent in the field of entertainment in general, he has had a successful stint with most radio stations in the country including Joy FM and Adom FM.
He is also widely known for two appearances at the Big Brother Africa reality show, the second being this year where he had to pull out on health grounds.
Sammy B is back on radio and he is back on Hitz FM, the country's prime entertainment radio station hosting an exciting morning show, The Saturday Wake-up Morning Show, four hours every Saturday morning beginning from 6, mixing music and comedy.
Sammy B has been in charge at the programme for almost a month now and is promising to last the programme.
The Big Brother star disclosed to Myjoyonline.com in an interview that he had to cancel a trip to Zambia and Zimbabwe which was supposed to be a reunion of some of the Housemates of the just-ended Big Brother All Stars reality show so he could be at post.
“I was supposed to be in Zambia and Zimbabwe to meet the other Housemates who are currently there but I had to cancel my flight because of the show.”
The Saturday Wake-up Morning Show is his true definition of a family programme since it has everything the family wants to hear on a weekend. “It brings humour into the Saturday morning,” he said.
The show has the perfect mix of humour, popular songs from different genres of music and “off the road, not normal” interviews of well known personalities.
To prove that the show is packaged for the listener, Sammy has a call in segment where callers call in to try their voices on songs (more like a karaoke session).
For Sammy, the programme is a must listen one and he's sure to bring to bear his over a decade worth of rich radio experience.
